Thu 14 Jul Buff-banded Rail Port Gibbon Eyre Peninsular
A single Buff-banded Rail observed at close quarters in thicket of saltbush at foreshare parking area in the samll town of Port Gibbon, just south of Cowell on the Eyre Peninsula - unusual for this region.

Wed 13 Jul Cattle Egret Onkaparinga River Recreation Reserve
Cattle Egret (1) Seen feeding with White-faced Herons amongst grasses that had choked much of southern-most large pond.

Tue 12 Jul Scarlet-chested Parrot Gluepot Reserve
A flock of 20 Scarlet-chested Parrot seen closely in east section of reserve.

Mon 11 Jul Flame Robin Salt Creek -Martins Wash-pool .SA
Five Flame Robins sitting on fencelines and hawking insects.

Buff-banded Rail Port Mac Donnell Caravan Park SA
Pair of adult birds seen foraging on lawn at campsite no 1. Birds did not appear to be too skittish. Observation made with Roly Lloyd at 07:15 am.

Adult pair in a flooded field at the corner of Mingbool Road and Kaladbro Roads.

Fri 8 Jul Southern Scrub-Robin Maclaren Pt, Lincoln NP
Confiding scrub-robin allowed close approach, along with rock parrots on track at MaClaren Point.
