Port Gibbon Eyre Peninsular
A single Buff-banded Rail observed at close quarters in thicket of saltbush at foreshare parking area in the samll town of Port Gibbon, just south of Cowell on the Eyre Peninsula - unusual for this region.

Cattle Egret (1) Seen feeding with White-faced Herons amongst grasses that had choked much of southern-most large pond.

Pair of adult birds seen foraging on lawn at campsite no 1. Birds did not appear to be too skittish. Observation made with Roly Lloyd at 07:15 am.
