Hi Grant
Given that you are going to be heading south out of the Isa on the Boulia rd
soon (I hope!!), you should get them along there anyway, between Isa & Dajarra.
I have had them at a few spots (but I can't remember where exactly, sorry!!) on
the drive south, but I remember they were often associated with watercourses
(ie that were running at the time...).
The only place that I've had them reliably every visit was at the Dugold River
crossing about 60kms north of Cloncurry on the Normanton Rd, but this is too
far away for you to consider now...
