Today I went with Ian and Pat May to a spot I'd never been to before on the Murray River in the hope of seeing and getting some pictures of Regent Parrots. In one area of enormous old well hollowed River Red Gums we found at least two dozen ( difficult to be more precise because they were flying around from tree to tree all the time). They were obviously checking out the many nesting holes, and a few males were in full breeding plumage. I don't have any but Ian got many excellent shots, some of which he may share if requested.
