Hi all, 9:05 am, 8th July 2011: at least one (escaped) Rose-ringed/Ring-necked Parakeet Psittacula krameri flying southeast, Leichhardt, Sydney, NSW. (Note: I did not see the bird but heard a series of about 15 of its diagnostic calls. Therefore I was able to estimate the direction of its flight. However, I cannot rule out that there were more than one bird - "at least one"). Hope that this is not the start of another population of this species. Cheers, Nikolas ---------------- Nikolas Haass Sydney, NSW =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
