The ONE thing NSW has over Vic???
As Inger says, North Curl Curl + north along the clifftop tracks.
Closer is Bluegum Reserve Chatswood but more often heard than seen.
Curl Curl is best bet.

Hi Tim,
Try the carpark at the surf club at North Curl Curl. They are
nearly always there in the shrubs or on the power lines.
Cheers,
Inger

Subject: [Birding-Aus] RFI Sydney Red-whiskered Bulbul
Hi all, and Sydneysiders.
A friend of mine is heading to Sydney, and is interested in
tracking down Red-whiskered Bulbul. Is there a reliable location
in Sydney? Also any sites close to the CBD?
It now seems that one thing sunny NSW has over Victoria is RW
Bulbul. Recent records in Vic are virtually nil. Perhaps there's
room for Song Thrush / Bulbul exchange! [For the record, said with
tongue firmly plant in cheek.]
Cheers,
Tim
