Hi all,My 17 year old son, who is better at identifying birds than I am, told me he just saw a male common koel on the branch outside his window. He says it definitely was not a white-winged chough. And it flew off before my wife or I could get there. We live in NW Sydney. As best I can figure from Eremaea Birds, there has been the odd sighting of koels in June in NSW. I know that a migrant rarely will not migrate. Does this make sense, and how likely is it? Thanks and take care Gordon Cain Schofields, NW Sydney =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
