Hi,

My sons and I are planning a road trip to Mungo NP, Broken Hill, possibly some parks in W Victoria, and possibly the alps. It'll be spring time.

My older son is mildly to moderately interested in birds -- esp new places with new birds. My younger son is more interested in bush and orienteering. Both appreciate beautiful new places and God's creation.

Any advice on what would be good in the springtime?
Birding spots -- esp great spots -- will be most appreciated, but also just great scenic sites, fishing spots, beautiful bush, great camping spots. . . (I'm getting Thomas and Thomas for fathers day, if not sooner.)
We'll be in 2WD and mostly in tents.

Would Hattah-Kulkyne be the best NP in W Victoria?

Anything else in SW NSW or W Vic?

Please reply off-list, and I'll summarise and re-post any good birding tips.

Thanks in advance, and warm regards.
