I'm not long back from a 2000 drive through South Australia and north-west Victoria where I got my three target birds - Chesnut-breasted Whiteface, Short-tailed Grasswren and Mallee Emu-wren - on three consecutive days. Thanks Jeff Davies for info on the emu-wren site. For further information see http://aussiebirding.wildiaries.com/trips/10587 and http://aussiebirding.wildiaries.com/trips/10586. I hate to admit it but I also went out of my way to see Barbary Dove in Adelaide.
