It is my melancholy task to inform readers that a Freckled Duck - listed as endangered in Victoria - was among 25 shot, abandoned ducks collected last weekend from Hird Swamp, near Kerang. If you care about stopping the slaughter, please write to the Premier of Victoria. Please let me know if you're interested in these reports. The silence has been, with one or two exceptions, deafening. Are birdwatchers engaging with this debate? =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
