Hobart Airport
Flock flying over western end of runway but ranging over Barilla Bay to the west and woodland to the north. Flock was probably at least 30 strong, maybe more. (15).

Rainbow lorikeet
Mount Nelson, Hobart
3 Rainbow Lorikeets feeding in flowering gum near 3rd Bend, Nelson Rd, Mt Nelson this morning at about 9.30am.

Common Myna
Devonport City
at 1120HRS sighted one Common Myna on river side lawn opposite the the traffic lights at intersection of Formby Road and Best Streets.
Also noted a previous report of a single Common Myna for Feb 8th, in the same area

White-throated Needletail
Windmill Swamp, St Helens Point.
At 09:30 hrs this morning, Sunday 06 March 2011, (20) 80 White-throated Needletails were hawking with Dusky Woodswallows and welcome swallows near St Helens Point, Tasmania. Flying north along the secondary sand dune adjacent to windmill swamp. Observed over a period of about 15 minutes shortly afterwards a moderate NE wind sprang up and no more were seen.
