Hi all,
On 11 September 2010, Nigel Harland, Dougald Frederick and myself observed a
small flock of some 30 Wandering Whistling Ducks along the Birdsville track.
I have been advised that this is the first documented sighting for SA. In
order to support a short note for the SAOA journal, I am looking for any
other sightings in or near SA around the same period (I'm aware of a
sighting of a lone bird by Edward Smith on 3/10/10). In particular I seem to
remember a posting to birding-aus of a bird near Noccundra (S-Qld) around
the same time. However upon searching the archives I couldn't find this
report.
Any assistance appreciated,
cheers
Peter Waanders
