" - without being too critical of the media coverage (which has been "positive in many respects) My wife was watching nine news last night and when I looked in they were showing viewer submitted photos including some before and after shots. One shot was of 2 pelicans standing on a concrete cylinder in the river with the water 2m or more below. The next was the 2 pelicans supposedly still standing on the cylinder which was completely submerged with only their heads showing above water.
