The same applies to all online polls, petitions etc. Most politicians (or
their advisers) know this and ignore them. It is just about impossible to
make a foolproof online poll without issuing some form of registration card
- and in any case since the sample is non-random the results - even with no
cheating - are meaningless. Only those with strong views vote - most people
can't be bothered.
