Australian Figbird
Manly Selective Campus, Dee Why
The Figbirds are still here, possibly the best spot in Sydney for them. They're heard calling throught the school day, every day for the last few months. Someone rescued an unfledged bird from Harbord Rd today (handed into WIRES), which shows they must be breeding in the area too. Probably don't need to report these anymore...

Little Eagle
Wilford Lane Wetlands Ulladulla
First Little Eagle seen this year in Ulladulla. Luckily forewarned by 2 Magpies alarm calls as it sailed 40 mtrs overhead. With the low altitude and the classic underwing pattern it made the ID of this beautiful bird the easiest thing. There have also been a few sightings of the Square-Tailed Kite, seen by everyone but me, at Narrawallee and Mollymook over the last 2 weeks. They seem to be regular visitors now over the last 2/3 years.

Satin Bowerbirds
Nepean Weir area
I went to check out the bower near the weir in the hope of getting some photos of the male and female interacting like I reported last Saturday. I set up a remote camera and the female eventually warmed up to it and began to inspect the bower. The male was still around, albeit somewhat shy. There were also fledged Bell Miners and I observed Eastern Whipbirds feeding their young as well.
