Birdline Tasmania

Published sightings for the week ending 7 Nov 2010.

Sun 31 Oct Cape Barren Goose Bass H'way, between Prospect & Longford Turnoff
10 Cape Barren Geese in a paddock near a large farm dam to the north of the Bass Highway, about half way between Prospect and the Longford Turnoff. All quite active, and 'displaying' to one another. First seen about a week ago, and chosen for the starting species to this year's attempt at the annual Twitchathon. Checking at the Tamar Islands Wetlands later in the afternoon, they said 'theirs' have all left - maybe this is where they've gone.
Tongue Family
