Sun 7 Nov Black-chinned Honeyeater; Pied Imperial-Pigeon Mount Louisa (suburb of Townsville) Lavarack Street
4 x Black-chinned Honeyeaters seen nectar-feeding in flowering Calliandras in our home front-yard this morning (pic). First record of this species here (16 years) . Also 2 x Pied Imperial-Pigeon in Soursop tree in home back-yard (unusual visitor here).

Sun 15 Aug Painted Snipe and Black-Throated Finch Kondaparinga Road - Near Mount Carbine
One male Painted Snipe (flighty) and 8-10 Black-throated Finch (coming to drink) observed at approximately 10 to 11 am. Along Kondaparinga Road (gravel) north of Mount Carbine where there is a small farm dam on the left hand side of the road. This is on private property.
