Here's a slideshow of some variations from around the Bellarine Peninsula.
Includes hybrids of scaly/rainbow and scaly/rainbow/musk.

This bird was in a flock of at least 10 Rainbow Lorikeets with a single
Scaly-breasted Lorikeet in Coast Banksias along Beach Road at Ricketts
Point, Beaumaris in Victoria this afternoon. It appears to be a hybrid
between Rainbow and Scaly-breasted: dull blue head but yellow scaly
plumage on breast and back.

Any ideas appreciated.

Also, any opinions on the tern - Arctic or Common?

Thanks, Ian
