The Bush Stone Curlews seem to become quite tame up here on the Central Coast (NSW). Some friends and I were having a quiet drink at the back of the Kincumber Hotel late on Sunday afternoon when a BSC wandered out from a scrappy garden behind the motel rooms. The bird didn't seem unduly bothered when guests moved out of one of the rooms close by, nor when my friend approached to take some photos (on his phone, and not worth showing, unfortunately). My friends often see them around the waterfront where they live at Davistown. All good fun Peter Scott ============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org ============================= |
