Hi Bob, I have a pair of the Nikon Monarch 10x42's. The optics are great for the price, but the eyepieces can be a bit of a trial at times. I recommend the 10x42 for all round birding ...... i imagine the next size up would be a bit cumbersome, although i haven't tried them.
