RFI: 4WD Hire Cairns

Hi all,
I am in the very initial stages of organising a trip to Iron Range next year. 
Unfortunately it is going to be a fly and drive trip (rather than a nice long 
trip through inland NSW and Qld as I have done previously). Therefore, I am 
interested in finding out about anyone's experiences with hiring 4WD in Cairns 
- what companies are available, the sort of prices and what sort of vehicles 
they have (really any sort of info would be good).
Therefore, if anyone can send me any info it would be greatly appreciated - 
possibly easier off list and I can send on details to anyone that is interested.
