John Alison has provided photos to the Atlas at Birds Australia HO of a
Red-backed Kingfisher he saw at the Lions Park at Bicheno on the east coast
of Tasmania on 10 July 2010. Neither the Atlas nor HANZAB has any records of
the species for Tasmania but the Pizzey & Knight Field Guide states vagrant
to Tasmania.
I wonder how/if Bird-O acknowledges learning about this record? Third-hand I would hope.
