Hi Mike and Alan,
I can shed some light as I typically handle the SMS side of things for
Bird-O. Mike, I did find out about it from your email, but as you credited
Frank for the sighting, it was Frank I credited on the website. Honestly
I'm not really sure what the appropriate method is for crediting people is
here, as I've already had people upset at me for putting their name against
a sighting. I do know that in Britain they do not credit observers in their
pager system, possibly to avoid a fuss if they get it wrong? If people
contact me directly and ask to be credited I'll happily oblige, and if I'm
reading a sighting from elsewhere, I'll try and credit the original observer
to the best of my knowledge.
