Sorry Frank I haven't been keeping up with birding-aus. I'm not sure it
will remove the confusion but here is the explanation. The absence of
a trailing slash breaks relative URIS embedded in the page because the
browser effectively depends on the trailing slash to determine if the
URL is of a directory (folder). The web has always worked like this.
Normally if a browser requests from a web server a directory using a
URL without a trailing slash, the web server tells the browser to add
a slash to the URL (with a redirect) - which avoids problems like yours.
The birding-aus archive lives on a webserver used for a few purposes
so it has a custom set of URL rewriting rules to "partition" it.
These rewriting rules didn't include one one to add the trailing slash -
hence your problem. I've now added one. Sorry about that.
