Not a bad idea, but given how much trouble online music sellers have gone to to
protect themselves from people sharing the tracks after they've downloaded
them, it might be harder than it sounds.

The set costs about $200, I think, and has around 800 tracks(?), i.e. 25c per
track.

Personally, despite being incredibly stingey about these kinds of things, I
decided that $200 was not expensive to own all those tracks so I just bought
the set. Compare it to HANZAB, for example, or a pair of binoculars or a
scope. I wouldn't expect someone who's not right into it to feel the same way
though.

If BOCA could have a part of their site that enabled digital downloads of calls
(for a small price) I think it would be very successful.

People could select bird calls from their own area, or particlar species they
are wanting to listen to, rather than buying a whole CD (which may have a lot
of calls they don't want) and then which they then have to convert (perhaps
illegally) to mp3 format.
