G'day everyone, I took the following image of 2 Terns at Stockton Sandspit in mid March this year. My main source of reference has been Morcombe's, and by checking online images for both birds. The 2 birds certainly match Morcombe's description of a Fairy Tern, however I'm told they are quite rare for NSW, so if someone who is familiar with the plumage of both the Fairy and Little Terns could lend some light onto the subject I'ld greatly appreciate it. I'm not familiar with either of these birds and so I can't tell if it's a Fairy in breeding plumage or a Little in eclipse plumage.
