There was a pair in the Myall Lakes area for several years, sadly, there appears to be only one left. This bird can often be found at Bombah Point (on the lakes) where it accepts handouts from campers. Every now and then it travels upstream to Bulahdelah and hangs around the park beside the river between the pub and the bridge.

G'day Steve,

I popped up there last year to unsuccessfully look for the bird. At the time
I got talking to one of the locals there who mentioned that it has been
there for at least 2 years, and that there are actually 2 of them.
