Fri 2 Apr       Brolga, Black Bittern Townsville Town Common
Conservation Park 
Brolga: with 2 chicks (2). Black Bittern: flushed from lagoon at the end
of forest walk (1).

Thu 1 Apr       Southern Cassowary Casuarius casuarius Wallaman Falls 
Spotted on roadside not far east of the junction to Wallaman Falls
Lookout. Single Male Cassowary with 1 confirmed but possibly 2 chicks,
aged around 6 months of age.

Fri 26 Mar      Squatter Pigeon Emerald Creek Falls 
One on the roadside leading to Emerald Creek Falls.
