Hi All, While doing our volunteer duty at the nearby Penguin Platform (Lillico Beach, near Devonport) tonight, I heard two flock of high-flying Silvereyes, one around 9:00pm, and one around 9:30pm (very dark, cloudy night). It was too difficult to say which direction they were heading, but I'd assume, by the time of year, they're heading north for the winter. Seems a risky business for such a small bird to head out across Bass Strait on a dark, stormy night.
