I think the Dartford Warbler has a stronghold (if it could be termed as such
for a bird this threatened) at RSBP Aylesbeare Common, which is on the A3052
a few miles east of Exeter. Thirty miles is not quite on your doorstep, but
not too far if you've got transportation.

I will be visiting my sister in June. She lives in Bridport in Dorset in
the SW of England. I expect to have several days to get out birding in
the area. I will try Google, and contact some English friends, but does
anyone know any sites in the area (say within about 2 hours drive or so),
and what main species that I should look out for.
