Ive recently returned from two weeks in New Zealand and one stop was the Miranda Shorebird Centre near Auckland . It was there I saw the book Godwits - long haul champions (subtitle New Zealand to the World - one birds voyage ) by Keith Woodley ( keith runs the centre there) - I'm half way through the book which is first class - a brilliant account about Godwits and their migration and particularly E7 - a radio tracked Godwits epic journey. I'm not sure if the book is available here in Australia but if you love shorebirds this is a must have book. cheers David Taylor Brisbane ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
