FNQ sightings

I'm dead serious mate, this really ought to be tried, especially with  
spring birds. Oriental Cuckoo is on a CD from the Taiwan Bird Club, a  
good series of the soft, quite fast rather Hoopoe-like calls.
I have not yet checked on xeno-canto  for Himalayan and this species,  
but they are a good resource for Asian bird calls. Seems that a  
calling bird is the only way for field separation as far as I know,  
and presumably song not alarm notes would be required to verify  
identity.
