Birdline Central & Southern Queensland 

Published sightings for the week ending 31 Jan 2010.

Sat 30 Jan      Pectoral Sandpiper Janke's Lagoon 
The Pec is still there - in the Sw corner. Also over 40 Sharpies to help
or hinder!

Mon 25 Jan      White-winged Fairy-wren, White-bellied Sea-Eagle, Musk
Duck Coolmunda Dam 
Coolmunda Dam is at its lowest for several years and the exposed flats
are green and being well grazed by cattle, swans and ducks. 4 feral
geese still present. The picnic area #2 (at the dam outflow point) is
closed. White-winged Fairy-wren: at least 6 at the normal spot.
White-bellied Sea-Eagle: 2. Musk Duck: 6. Evidence of cat predation
(including the cats) ...1 very freshly killed juv White-faced Heron and
a pile of Wood Duck feathers.
