Hi Jude,

Most people select "Reply all" when replying to existing posts. The main
thing is that you include in the list of
recipients if you wish your reply to appear in the mailing list. Similarly,
when writing a new post, make sure you send it to

Don't worry about the address - this is
simply the way the mailing list sends postings on behalf of the poster.

Birding-aus is a moderated list - the reason that your posts take time to
appear is that they need to be approved. This happens because you are a
recent subscriber (I noticed that you unsubscribed and then resubscribed).
Ultimately your postings will automatically appear without moderation - but
this takes some time - the reason for this mandatory moderation is to avoid
spamming.

I hope this answers your queries.

All the best,

Paul Dodd

Help please ...

I've just changed from receiving the digest mail and now getting each email.
However, I'm not sure how I go about replying to messages.

1. Do I "reply" or
2. Do I "reply all"

And then if I wish to make a new post ... is this the email address I send
to.
Why ?

It's just that I've replied to one person this morning (Murray -

and then made a new post to but so far
neither posts have come out on the "latest birding-aus postings" webpage
which I have now bookmarked.
