How is it better than the iPhone Carl? A friend has a birding app on that which looks great - obviously you get more screen on this thing but it would
be bigger to lug around. WIll it run the iPhone apps?

I have just had a look at the new Apple iPad on Apple's web site. Very
interesting device. Great potential for birders, it appears to be a

for field guides and for recording sightings etc. A space well worth
