Hi all,

I managed to get out and about near Brisbane today with Andrew Stafford and
Jane Blackwood. We visited Lacey's Creek (north of Dayboro), Lake
Samsonvale, Mt Glorius and Bellbird Grove and finished at Mt Coot-tha for
some quick spotlighting. We managed 110 species all up, with highlights
being:

Spotted Quail-Thrush, White-eared Monarch and Noisy Pitta at Lacey's Creek
Russet-tailed Thrush (including one in a Crow's Nest fern in the canopy!),
Regent Bowerbird and Noisy Pitta at Maiala
Barred Cuckoo-Shrike and Russet-tailed Thrush at Boombana
Spotted Quail-Thrush and Buff-rumped Thornbill at Bellbird Grove
White-throated Nightjar (seen perching near the water), and heard Powerful
Owl, Boobook Owl, and Owlet Nightjar at Mt Coot-tha/JC Slaughter Falls

We also saw a young Eastern Brown Snake at Lake Samsonvale.

Regards,
Chris
