Dear Birding-AusersFor birders who have done our pelagic trips from Port Fairy, it is with sadness that I inform you that Gary Roberts, who owned and operated the Michael J IV, died last Wednesday. He got sick earlier last year and, despite treatment, slowly got worse. We appreciated all the work Gary did for us on these trips as he was reliable, helpful and extremely co-operative. We have missed our trips from Port Fairy, not the least because Gary was such a key part of them.
