This afternoon I saw what I thought was a Whistling Kite at Mt Hotham (Vic) at approximately 1800m above sea level. I had no binoculars at the time, but I don't think it was a Little Eagle. Should I be expecting either of these species up here? There are plenty of rabbits around. The only other raptor I've seen all week is a Nankeen Kestrel.
