Thanks for this report Mick. The bird was still present this morning (Sat),
and I have submitted a photo to Eremaea Birdline. A great tick to ring in
the New Year!
Cheers Steve Murray

Folks

Just quickly, Russell Jenkins and I lucked onto a Pectoral Sandpiper
yesterday afternoon at Jahnke's lagoon near Gatton. Further
details under the Pectoral Sandpiper topic at:

http://www.toowoombabirdobservers.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=59

Photographs will be posted on Russell's blog, hopefully later today, at:

 http://russelljenkinsstoop.blogspot.com/

which is well worth a look, in any case.

Cheers
Mick Atzeni
