This is a cry for help.

The Eaglet that hatched at Newington Armory / Birds Australia Discovery Center
has left the nest and is now flying free. It has not stayed with the adult
birds like we would have expected but has opted to go it alone.

There has been sightings of it a few times around Sydney Olympic Park and the
Waterbird Refuge.
The Eaglet is about four and half months old, so still very brown mortally
colouring.

There has also been sightings of another immature Sea Eagle in the area, but
this Eagle has much lighter colouring probable 1 or 2 year old.

For our ongoing study of these Eagles we are seeking any sightings of first
year Eaglets with in 25 km of Homebush Bay.

Please send sightings to Judy Harrington
