Dear All,I know it has nothing to do with birds, but I think there may be some on the list interested. On the morning of 9/12/09, a mysterious luminous spiral appeared in the skies over northern Norway. I imagine Wim Vader had a good view, if he was at home. Images and the story can be found at http://spaceweather.com . It really is worth a look. I have never seen anything like it.
