Following unseasonably heavy rains in June /July we had Scarlets breeding
everywhere in SE Queensland.  The rains provided some early Eucalypt blossom
and the cuckoos weren't much in evidence.

 

I assume that there was a very successful breeding season and because of the
drought here since July the Scarlets have moved south.  We haven't seen any
for weeks.
