Hi Martin My co-twitchathoners - Grant & Ryan Baverstock - saw 'quite a few' Short-tailed Shearwaters sitting on the water off Point Addis last week. There are hundreds wrecked on Bancoora Beach (near Breamlea, between Torquay and Ocean Grove) - also a few gannets. Not sure what is happening, but it may be food related as it hasn't been particularly stormy of late (windy at times, but not gale force). cheers -- Lawrie ++++++++++++ Lawrie Conole Northcote 3070 AUSTRALIA lconole at gmail dot com ++++++++++++++++++++++++ =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
