I had a fine time last night with excellent sightings of marbled frogmouth and sooty owl at a new locality near Yandina on the Sunshine Coast. A pair of marbled frogmouths showed brilliantly, first the male, then the female. Nearby, a male sooty owl displayed overhead while giving its characteristic trilling call.
