Hi allI heard a Boobook Owl calling between 3 and 4am Sunday 25 Oct (at least it was calling when I woke up at 3 and was still calling when I woke again at 4 - it could have had a rest in between I suppose). I have also had an Owlet Nightjar calling near the house, about 8:30pm on Thursday 22 Oct - a new bird for the house list. I couldn't see it flying above the houses in the direction the call was coming from. Do they call in flight or would it have been stationary when it called?
