Three days ago I saw a Common Starling flying across the Aputula Community here. Well, if I had been at home in NZ I would have certainly identified it as such but here in Finke it was a big call to id such a rarity just on flight alone. Today however I was able to photograph it so proving it. In the Atlas I see that for the Northern Territory only Alice Springs has had a sighting. Perhaps this bird here is just the second record for NT.
