G'day Tom,
I thought Rohan did such an excellent job I would leave this one alone, but
if you are still going for Soft-plumaged then I better put my hand up for
White-headed for all the reasons Rohan has outlined. The collar on this bird
is not typical but not unusual for White-headed, if you want some more
features then the bird is too bulky for Soft-plumaged especially at the rear
end and the head and bill are too large. These features are more difficult
to qualify but are relevant none the less. For an absolute knock out feature
then look at the tail which is white as pointed out by Rohan.
Thanks for posting this on the forum, a very useful exercise but it would be
even better if more people got involved.
Cheers Jeff.

thanks - having looked and and read the comments back, I'm still leaning to
Soft Plumaged over White Headed on the amount that the collar wraps around
the neck, although it seems to show characteristics of both. I see from the
website that there is an attributed photographer, so they may have some
notes too? I'll send them a comment and see what they say.
Cheers
