Hi all
I was explaining to some of my work colleagues what sort of birds I see when
I'm out on pelagic trips earlier this week, using images from google as an
illustration of albatrosses, petrels & storm petrels etc and I came across
this web page via google images: http://www.eol.org/pages/1049282
While I know that this is not a White Bellied Storm Petrel, what is it? - I
think it is either a pale phase Soft Plumaged Petrel (my preference) or a
pale phase Kermadec Petrel, but I've never seen either myself, so am running
off the illustrations in Pizzey and Onley & Schofield. As the latter covers
world species, hopefully I have narrowed it down and haven't missed
something from elsewhere in the world?
When (if?) there's a consent on ID, I'll send them a comment.
Cheers
Tom Wilson
