Is there any way of telling which race in non-breeding plumage? I
certainly can't from Pizzey. The description for my bird is:

Strong white eyebrow, dark ear coverts, white line borderd by black
under dark ear coverts. this not as strong as eyebrow, but clear
through scope. No yellow underneath-appeared white, dark/black tail
with white edges. Called in flight, high pitched, rocked pretty
constantly when on ground. When viewed from behind had white lines
down primaries. Also a netting pattern on wings from side similar in
some ways to female white winged triller. No white wingbar in flight.
Some black markings on chest, fairly indistinct.

I have bird journal which gives me eastern yellow wagtail and green
headed yellow wagtail. I put it under eastern as I had to put it
somewhere but I have no basis for doing this.
