While staying in Istanbul, some years ago, I was surprised to see
large numbers of Gulls (Common?, Herring?) wheeling around over the
lower city below the Blue Mosque and along the waterfront. They were
pretty vocal at times as well. Perhaps it is just a Gull thing.
