For those interested in bird photos and some of the birds to be seen around
Paluma and Kingfisher Park Birdwatchers Resort at the moment I have uploaded
a new set of photos from a trip I have just completed to those two
locations. Go to http://ptiloris.smugmug.com/ and select the "North
Queensland 2009" gallery from "Bird Photography Trips".
The gallery does not contain all of the birds I saw during the two weeks I
was travelling but it does have some shots of Golden Bowerbird (Paluma) and
Sooty Owl (Kingfisher Park). Also a shot of the Blue-faced Parrot Finch a
small flock of which is currently hanging out in the Julatten area.
And there's some shots of a Red-backed Button Quail taken at Wallaman Falls
west of Ingham.
I did get a good look at a Cassowary walking across the access road to
Paluma but wasn't able to get any photos unfortunately.
